Micah is one of Motor Milestones’ newer employees, but she’s not new to Colorado. Having grown up in Colorado, Micah loves to travel to new places with friends, family, or even on her own. Check out this photo of her at Skogafoss waterfall in Iceland!

Micah has worked as an early childhood special educator (ECSE) for more than five years. She was drawn to this work because she started babysitting at a young age and loved working with children, especially because they are so eager to learn.

As an ECSE Micah loves to see children and families grow as they learn to support one another and reach their goals. While reaching milestones can be so gratifying, Micah reminds us that these accomplishments take time. Young children do not have the same processing speed as adults or school-aged children, so when parents are presenting a choice or hoping for a response from their child, she says they should use clear and simple language paired with a visual and then wait! Let your child hear the prompt, think of their response, determine how to make it, and then execute.

Motor Milestones is so lucky to have Micah’s thoughtful approach as an ECSE!
